Data Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Specialist to join our rapidly growing software company. Idera has been growing organically and inorganically through acquisitions with more acquisitions planned for the future. Idera recently sold for ~$3B and is owned by three of the premier private equity groups in the United States.

We are looking for a skilled Data Specialist to provide accurate and efficient data to be used by finance team to report sales/retention analysis. You will create standard and customized ad hoc reports for the FP&A and executive teams.

You will play a key role in supporting various activities in critical financial reporting.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Extracts data from various databases; performs exploratory data analysis, cleanses, massages, and aggregates data
Audit processes to fix transactional data
Build and maintain multiple data flows from various sources over expansive datasets
Collaborate with Data Architecture to design scalable and efficient solutions
Work with team and agencies to launch BI analytics platform
Build dashboards and reports to share frameworks and insights across the organization
Conduct ad hoc analyses on a wide variety of data sources
Other responsibilities include but not limited to participation in special projects, ad hoc analysis as assigned.

Required Skills:

Minimum 3-5 years of related experience
Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office (including advanced Excel skills)
Knowledge of database software and structure
Developing knowledge of available data sources, strengths and shortcomings
Excellent problem solving, verbal and multi-tasking skills
Able to work to tight deadlines in an efficient and effective manner
A proactive, independent thinker who can work with minimal direction
Comfortable making suggestions that can improve existing process and reporting
Extreme attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
